CheckCard Rate

This fee is a benefit to you- we promise! Unlike a lot of merchant service providers, ProcessingPoint has adopted the 4-tier system, which heavily discounts checkcard purchases. As you may be aware, on a typical card-swipe transaction, you are charged for the Qualiified (Mid, or Nonqualified) rate. These rates are based on a number of factors, mostly the risk in taking each transaction. The major card issuers recently acknowledged that checkcards carry less risk, and that savings was passed to the merchant service provider. Statistics show that roughly 10% of all transactions represent checkcards, so it's save to say that with a ProcessingPoint merchant account, you can expect to see an even great savings on 10% of your transactions.
